movies that make you think

i like watching movies as much as the next guy, but the last week or so since spending some time in calgary, i have a sort of renewed interest in movies that make you think. i mentioned "Ugananda Rising" in my last blog, and im sure most of you still havent checked it out, but you should. last nite i watched "Jesus Camp". i hadnt actually heard about it until last nite, so maybe im way out of the loop or something and behind the times, but i got to see it. man. that movie is crazy. (for those of you who are out of the loop like me check out www.jesuscampthemovie.com) id be interested to hear what some of you guys thought about it. other movies that are on the 'to see' list right now include: invisible children, killing fields, the boys of baraka, sometimes in april. does any one have any other documentary/make you think type movies that are worth a watch?

i'm glad i got to watch that crazy movie too...those camps are definitely a far cry from good old heritage lake hey? yikes.
i checked out ugandarising.com and it definitely something i want to see too...despite how disturbing it looks.
i still haven't seen 'an inconvenient truth' but that's another one on my list. as well as 'WALMART: the high cost of low price'...oh and i think there's this one called 'bowling for columbine' that sounds good too (kidding, we're not that out of the loop)
we should have a 'movies that make you think marathon'. you provide the flatscreen, i'll provide the applecrisp..or something.
you freezing your buns off over there still?

a while ago i watched 'born into brothels'. it's pretty interesting, though maybe not as thought-provoking as some.

Movies that make think, and explore history of our world that we would not normally be exposed to are so important to helping us understand each other. 'Uganda rising' is a must see and 'born into brothels' is a very good show too. They definetly make you think about life here in Canada and renew my appreciation and responsibility for all that God has given me.
I recomend 'The Corporation' and 'Enron', for the stick it to the man type of movie. Scared Sacred for life inspiration and appreciation. Loose change and Flight Delay for some insight into 9/11 and the Government role. The Office season one and two are also a must see, dwight cracks me up.

I will be checking out Jesus camp out, that draws me to watch it.

this has nothing to do with those movies, but I just had to check and see if youve happened to notice the canucks record of late. I dont really need to say more. Exept for maybe, "whats up with the habs?". Ha! I'll bet Toris loving it! I'll send a real email when I get time but just had to rub this in your face like the great friend that I am.
